Jacqueline Kavanagh
Jacqueline Kavanagh is a recovering journalist whose work has appeared in a wide variety of publications across Ireland. In a continuing bid to avoid getting a proper job, she’s now a full-time novelist and part-time wife and mother.
When she’s not writing, Jacqueline is a hardy sailor with well over 60,000 nautical miles beneath the keel. She has circumnavigated the globe under sail and crossed the Atlantic six times. She has also run thirteen marathons — from Chicago to Berlin to Dublin — including the wine-laden Marathon du Médoc in France, which was, obviously, her favourite.
Her debut novel, Strangers for Breakfast, was published by To Be Sure Books in March 2026. It is a warm, funny and quietly moving story about the lives we stumble into, the secrets we inherit, and why wine before noon is sometimes entirely reasonable.
